Salted sardine fillets in oil
Our sardines are caught on Lake Garda by local fishermen and are processed following the traditional recipe, which preserves them in sunflower oil.
Filleted, skinned and left to rest in salt, the sardines are washed with red wine and put under sunflower oil to be preserved in a completely natural way.
Ready to be served and enjoyed, they are ideal for sauces and pasta.
In the kitchen, “Bigoi con le sardele” (bigoli pasta with sardines) is a grand classic of Lake Garda cuisine that embodies all the scents of the lake. They are also excellent as a condiment for pasta, in tomato-based sauces with pine nuts, raisins and fennel.
